The 7 steps
Step One – Understand your Anxiety
Without knowing what is happening to you when you are anxious, you will not be able to manage it. That is like trying to solve an equation without the figures. You will learn what anxiety it, what is happening in your mind and body so you can change it.
Step Two – Living in the now
When we are anxious we spend a lot of time worrying about the future, never being present and becoming swamped by our thoughts which wizz round and round. Step two teaches you how to disengage from your busy mind, how to find inner still and to live in the now, not the future.
Step Three – Acceptance
We all get into a fight and battle with anxiety and it is exhausting. Ever avoided something or someone because of anxiety?For anxiety to move on we have to accept it. This step is perhaps one of the most important and least known secrets of living beyond anxiety. Sounds counter intuitive, but you will learn to relate to anxiety in a different way, to drop that battle with it. This is vital for you to live a life beyond anxiety.
Step Four – Break your state
Learn about the cinema of your mind and how to take control of the movies and images you make, the internal voice you use and the emotions that run through you. When you learn how to master these elements of your inner world you can change them when you feel anxiety coming on.
Step Five – Calm Blueprint
Ever wanted to feel calm on demand? This is step four, you will activate the neurology of calm and create a shortcut to this feeling. This means that wherever you are, what ever you are doing you will be able to access a quiet inner space. This is a fundamental element of emotional resilience, to take control over your emotional state and shift it to stop being emotionally hijacked.
Step Six – Who are you?
Who are you beyond anxiety? What kind of person are you without it dominating your life? Want to find out? This is what step five is here to do. You will explore your core values in life and discover who you want to become, how you want to spend your time, who you want to spend your time with. This gives you a life compass to follow to ensure a fulfilled life. This program is not just about living beyond anxiety, it is about creating you and deciding how you want to show up in life
Step Seven – Taking action
Now you have the skills to manage your emotional state and live beyond anxiety, to access calm when you need it and live in the now, it is time for you to go into the world as the new you and make changes. There will be areas of your life which are not as you would like because anxiety was holding you back, now is the time to understand goal setting and create an action plan based on your values. All for you to make your debut as the new you.
Not just your mind, your body too
Anxiety has a physical presence in our neurology, our muscles end up tight, tired and on edge. When you are anxious you release excess hormones of Adrenaline and Cortisol into your system. Both hormones exhaust your system and make it hard to sleep, rest, recover and relax. For you to live beyond anxiety you need to learn to release anxiety physically as well as mentally.
This is why during this two day course as well as learning the 7 Step Method, we will have a daily session from an amazing yoga teacher who specialises in stress relief. They will be teaching you stretching techniques to release that built up tension. This is one of the elements which many courses do not cover. For me, when you tackle anxiety both from the emotional and physical perspective, this is how you make deeply holistic and powerful changes.
Learn EFT/Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. EFT uses very old Eastern philosophies of your Meridian System. It is believed that when we have negative thoughts and experiences we develop disruptions on our system which results in us feeling off kilter. A little like static on a television or when a radio station goes out of tune.
What EFT does is unblock this disruptions in your system and defuse the uncomfortable emotions so you can create that sense of inner balance. How does it work? EFT uses acupressure points which you tap on on parts of your body. It is simple, easy and effective to use and is great for anxiety. You will learn how to apply EFT to yourself.

Arrive at 9.30am for registration and meeting with your fellow attendees and me. Ready for a 10:00am start.
Venue: County Hotel, 29 Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 2PZ
The County Hotel is a beautiful venue to host your Beyond Anxiety weekend. It has a warm professional feel with free onsite parking and Wifi.
The Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Chelmsford Bus and Train Stations. So easily accessible by public transport with a direct train line into Liverpool Street London (32 mins). You will be looked after all day in great surroundings by me and the wonderful staff.
Lunch and Refreshments:
You will be provided with refreshments throughout the day and stationery to use. Lunch can be bought at the hotel, you can bring your own or the town centre is a 10 min walk away with many amenities and eateries.
